When you start a batch job, a batch request is sent to the batch render system and each task (e.g. video render) is queued in a pipeline. Each pipeline starts with low number of concurrent render processes and increases the concurrency if you have a lot of videos to render.
Running jobs can be cancelled any time. However, some render requests may already be submitted or are in process to being rendered. These cannot be stopped.
